Finnish ex-premier addresses UBP clients

Our annual flagship conference “UBP Looks at Geopolitics” at the prestigious Widder Hotel in Zurich recently brought together nearly 130 clients, prospects, and UBP employees for an evening of dynamic dialogue. The anticipation was palpable as Adrian Künzi introduced the high-profile keynote speaker, Sanna Marin.

Her career so far, at the very top of Finnish politics, and her insightful perspectives have earned Sanna Marin a global reputation. As the prime minister of Finland from 2019 to 2023, she oversaw some of the biggest events on the world stage. This experience and her easy manner made for a compelling address which engrossed the audience.

“Sanna Marin’s invaluable insights about the current geopolitical landscape provided our clients with food for thought on technological advancement and democratic resilience, resulting in lively discussions during the Q&A and the flying dinner.”

Adrian Künzi, CEO Zurich & Head of WM European Markets

Marin's speech focused on the foundational principles that underpin Western societies: democracy, freedom of speech, and free trade. Drawing on her Finnish heritage, she provided a poignant perspective on Finland's unique geopolitical situation.
