Sergio Trigo Paz joined UBP in London in September 2022 as CIO & Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income. He has 30 years of investment experience in emerging market debt.

Sergio joined the Bank from BlackRock in London where he was Head of the Emerging Market Debt team, Co-Head of Fixed Income and a member of the Fixed Income Executive Committee. Prior to Blackrock, he was CIO & Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income at BNP Paribas Investment Partners. Before that, he held trading and market-making positions in emerging market debt with a variety of institutions in New York, London and Paris.

Sergio holds a master’s degree in Economics & Finance and a postgraduate diploma in Management from the Sorbonne University in Paris.
