Mission

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented graduate to join our Discretionary Portfolio Management Key Client team. This is an excellent career opportunity for the successful candidate.


Main responsibilities

Position Overview:

  • The graduate will assist the team across the portfolio management process; and will assist with the development and maintenance of performance monitoring tools. He or she will analyse investment strategies for the portfolios, and utilise quantitative methods to enhance portfolio performance.

  • As part of the programme, the graduate will benefit from a rotation across other key areas within the bank, for example our Private Markets and Quantitative Analytics teams.

  • This graduate programme provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced investment environment, contributing to the generation of strong performance for our clients.

  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to fast track into a portfolio management career, covering key clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of the portfolio management process.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of performance monitoring tools to improve analysis and automation of portfolio management processes.

  • Conduct research on emerging quantitative techniques and tools applicable to portfolio management.

  • Support the team members on their daily tasks.

  • Collaborate with senior analysts to identify key market drivers, emerging trends, and investment opportunities, contributing to the formulation of investment strategies and recommendations.

  • Develop and maintain Bloomberg/Python scripts and VBA macros to streamline workflow processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve research efficiency.

  • Help to prepare investment proposals (RFPs) for key clients – including asset allocation and security selection proposals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and information
  • Solid interest and understanding of financial markets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous internship or project experience in a financial or quantitative role would be a plus
  • Fluent in English essential, with high level of writing skills. French fluency also very helpful
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to the success of the team

    • Education: Bachelor Degree

    Experience

    • Years of experience: 0-3 : beginner
    • Experience required:
    • Working towards or completed a Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Quantitative Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL and VBA; experience with statistical and data analysis tools, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Powerpoint
    • Experience in private banking: N/A
