Rencan joined UBP in 2015 to assume the management and operational responsibilities for UBP Investment Management (Shanghai) Limited.
He is one of the leading executives in the Chinese financial sector with over 28 years’ experience in asset management in Belgium, Asia and China. Having worked in various positions involving business development, asset gathering and general management at Fortis Investments and BNP Paribas Investment Partners, in 2003 he established one of the first sino-foreign investment management joint ventures in China – HFT Investment Management – and developed it into a first-tier player in the sector in China.
He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration jointly awarded by Manchester Business School and the University of Wales.
