UBP employees have a long tradition of taking part in community engagement projects. Recently, our colleagues at UBP Monaco participated in several CSR activities.
From donating shoes and clothes to people in need, to going on a charity treasure hunt, UBP Monaco showed strong community spirit and dedication to social causes.
Warm feet for the winter
With colder days arriving, our colleagues at UBP Monaco donated dozens of pairs of trainers to those in need through the local charity Semeurs d’espoir. The association, which UBP Monaco has been supporting for years, collects clothes, food, toiletries and more to give to homeless people in the area between Nice and Menton.
Tackling fashion waste
UBP Monaco also organised a swap sale where employees could put up clothes for sale that they no longer use and snap up some bargains themselves. The beauty of a swap sale that it gives used clothing a new life rather adding to the mountain of fashion waste, whilst giving participants the chance to get a new wardrobe at a low price. At the end of the three-week sale, many of the unsold items were donated to the Red Cross which distributes clothes to people in need.
A high-tech family treasure hunt
A group of employees and their children – some 30 people in total – set off on a high-tech treasure hunt around Monaco in support of the charity Dessine-moi la High Tech, which lends hospitalised children different devices to give them some distraction from their health concerns. After a brief introduction and the chance to test the devices – which included virtual reality headsets, robots, and drones – the teams, each equipped with a tablet, set off on a mission to find 28 spots around Monaco where they were given a task or a quiz. They stood to win points which would be converted to money to be donated to the charity.
A race to help children in need
Our runner colleagues took part in the No Finish Line race and clocked up a total of 292.21 kilometres, which will help the Children & Future charity to organise projects for children in need.
