Description

Group COO is a vast and key division of the Bank, headed up by the group Chief Operating Officer, covering several departments supporting the client facing teams. It strives to provide both in-house and external clients with a first-rate service to ensure our business operates efficiently and reliably. The division comprises Operations, Finance, Credit Structuring and Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, General Services (real estate, travel and logistics), Security and Data Governance as well as Change Management & Controls. All department heads report into the group COO.

Participate in the preparation and support of all test environments by being the single point of contact for all related enquiries and issues

Main responsibilities

Position Overview

In order to strengthen our Environment Management team, we are looking for an Environment Manager who will participate in the preparation and support of all test environments.

This Environment Manager will act as a single point of contact for all test environments related enquiries and issues to coordinate the environment readiness for major projects, incidents correction and small enhancements. Moreover, he / she will endorse an advisor role by providing guidelines and communicating good practices to the teams for the best usage of the test environments.

For in and out of Bank releases requirements, the Environment Manager supports IT teams and coordinate the plan to deliver an aligned, consistent and quality oriented set of environments.

The Environment Manager is a central position which requires to work collaboratively with all IT stakeholders, such as developers, testers, infrastructure team members, release manager, project managers, IT management, etc.  Out of operational activities, he / she will have to define and enforce test environments management processes. Interpersonal skills, a problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking will be essential to succeed in this challenging position.

Role & Responsibilities

- Define the test environments global planning

- Assess the test requirements for environments booking

- Provide detailed planning and participate in the preparation activities (data refresh, setup and configuration, quality checks…)

- Schedule and monitor the support activities (sanity checks, troubleshooting, End-of-Day / End-of-Month treatments…)

- Enhance the test environments management processes

- Communicate the test environments milestones and planning

- Proactively raise issues / risks and support the resolution plan

- Support the different stakeholders (IT & Business teams) as the single point of contact for all queries related to test environments management

Qualifications

- 8-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment preferably in a banking environment

- Demonstrated a good experience in test environments coordination and support (previous experience in Environment manager position)

- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize work

- Ability to work under pressure

Tools

       - Knowledge of the Unix universe and scripting

       - Comfortable with the Scheduling tools (knowledge of Ctrl-M will be a plus)

       - Databases tools (PL/SQL, Sybase central…)

       - Service management tools (BMC Remedy)

       - Monitoring tools (Jira)

 

Education

  • Education: Engineer

Experience

  • Years of experience: 7-10 : senior
  • Experience in private banking: Optional

Language

  • English: Fluent
  • French: Fluent

Personal skills

  • Swiss resident: Optional
