Mission

As a Data Analyst at the start of your career, you'll be at the heart of our data-driven strategies, helping to shape the way we operate and achieve our goals.


Main responsibilities

The Chief Data Office (CDO) at Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) accelerates the firm's data and analytics initiatives. It ensures the documentation, quality, integrity, and security of the company's data, enabling it to support insight generation and decision-making. Additionally, the CDO oversees the firm’s risk governance framework for artificial intelligence, ensuring that these initiatives are executed effectively and align with the bank's risk appetite.

In this role, you'll become a go-to expert, bridging the gap between the people or systems who create data and those who use it to make decisions. 

You'll work closely with various teams to pinpoint and prioritize their data needs, ensuring that our data is not only high-quality and secure but also seamlessly integrated and fully leveraged throughout our company. 

Your efforts in managing and improving data quality and security will play a crucial role in making our data a reliable cornerstone for innovation and smart decision-making.
 

Mission

  • Work closely with essential partners across bank functions and Technology to ensure that all critical data is thoroughly documented.
  • Oversee the development of processes that identify, monitor, and reduce data risks throughout its lifecycle, tackling challenges related to data use, and quality. 
  • Support our data analytics and product initiatives by defining and managing the data integration into analytics platforms, facilitating analytics projects.

 


Personal skills

  • Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, translating data concepts into business strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, effectively conveying data concepts to technical and non-technical partners.


    Education

    • Education: Bachelor Degree
    • Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.
    • Technical skills: Understanding of data management principles, including data quality and data classification.
    • IT Tools: Sound knowledge of query (SQL) and analytical programming languages (e.g. Python, R).

    Experience

    • Years of experience: 0-3 : beginner
    • Experience in private banking: N/A

    • English: Fluent
