Towards a Net Zero Emissions Economy with Green Bonds

Towards a Net Zero Emissions Economy with Green Bonds

The market for green and social bond issued by financial and non-financial companies is booming.

It has grown by more than 50% over the last 12 months, highlighting the major shift in investors’ behaviour towards sustainable finance.

Green bonds cover a variety of projects such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, green buildings and clean transportation, and seek to generate returns for fixed income investors financing environmentally sound and sustainable projects that foster a net-zero emissions economy and protect the environment.

Active in the green bond market since 2018, UBP combines its fundamental credit view with its internal ESG assessment when selecting green bond issuers. UBP expert Olivier Debat tells us about it in this video.
